Camera in Lego
The IBM PC Camera was an inexpensive webcam in a rather unappealing shell. Inside the shell, the webcam consists of a lens structure attached to a small circuit board with the usb cable hanging out the rear. It just so happens that the "garage door" legos (the red pieces) have rails into which the circuit board fits. After much fiddling I came up with the design shown in the photos.
My new improved camera can now be stuck to a lego baseplate, or hung from structures made of technic legos to allow various camera movements in a predictably incremental manner suitable for stop-motion camera movement.
